Finally, a big thank you to all of you for the overwhelming support you have shown during our first term back. Please continue to do everything you can, along with us, to keep risks of transmission of the virus, as low as possible. Social distancing, and adhering to the measures we have put in place is really helping, and is very much appreciated. Can I ask please that you also consider the neighbours when parking your cars, particularly around the entrance at the back of the school. We have had a concerned resident contact us re parking on corners, double parking and speeding. Please remember the safety of all our children is paramount. I have let the Community Police know of these concerns and they will be supporting in this matter.
Many thanks,
Mrs O'Donnell

Thursday 30th Aprill 2020:
On Wednesday 6th May we would like to invite all our families to join us for the 1pm live stream of mass with Father Dougan and Father Parks. This would, under normal circumstances, have been our monthly school mass at the church so we thought it would be nice if we could still celebrate it together. You can access the livestream on the parish youtube channel Catholic G73. We are also looking for children to contribute pieces of art based on the theme of 'Mar our Mother'. These can be emailed to the teacher who wil forward them to Father for displaying during the mass.
Hope as many of of you as possible are able to join us.

We hope you you managed to have a lovely Easter break and continuing to keep well. Being away from family and friends during this lockdown period can cause worry, upset and anxiety. CAMHS have developed a website to support mental wellbeing. It is very good and gives lots of direct links to downloads, apps and websites etc. There's even a section on coronavirus. Please take some time to have a look.

Further to our post yesterday with regards to the Lion King going ahead, as you will now be aware via the School App, this event has been cancelled. We ask for your patience whilst we discuss with the theatre the plans for refund/exchange. We really hope we will be able to use these tickets for another show later in the year.
All other extra curricular events and school trips are now also cancelled going forward. We will keep our families up to date with all new information as and when we have it. Please ensure you have access to our school app. If you need support downloading or accessing, please visit the school office and we will be happy to help.
Monday 16th March 2020:
Thank you to all those who have downloaded our Parent App. We stress now more than ever that it is essential that at least one person in every household has access to the App to keep up to date with this ever changing situation surrounding COVID-19. As posted on our App this morning, our school is very much open and fucntioning as normal! We understand parental concerns and would continue to encourage our families to remain vigilant and follow advice issued by NHS and the Scottish Government. As a school we will continue to do all we can to keep our staff and pupils safe by maintaining high standards of hygiene and following advice given.
Please note that unless otherwise instructed by the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh, our trip to see The Lion King will still go ahead on Wednesday.
Monday 9th March 2020:
Thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry to our 'I Can Read Anywhere' competition. We have had some great photos sent in. Entries close this Friday 13th March and our final winner will be annonced.
Thank you also to all those who have downloaded our new Parent App. If you have not already downloaded this, please do so as soon as possible. This is where all the up to the minute information will be posted, as well as newsletters and dates for your diaries. If you have any trouble downloading or accessing the app, please contact the school office and we will be happy to help.
Our Lenten Fundraisers continue this week with Crazy Hair Day. Pupils should still wear uniform but can make their hair as crazy as they like! As this is part of our charity fundraisers, pupils are asked to pay £1 or make another donation. Thank you for all your support with this.
Monday 24th February 2020:
This week will have Ash Wednesday Mass in St. Mark's Church at 10am - weather permitting. Should this change, we will inform parents as early as possible.
You will have seen in our latest Newsletter that on 5th March at Parents Evening we will launch our new Parents App. This will be a new, efficient way to keep up to date with all the latest goings on in the school. Please make sure you bring your phone that evening and there will be plenty of staff on hand to help you download and access the app.
Primary 3-6 also found out last week that they will be heading to see The Lion King on Wednesday 18th March. This is a really exciting opportunity for the pupils so please make sure you return the permission slip as soon as possible.
